Privacy policy — Interiu FDD
This policy covers the Interiu FDD add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word (the "add-in"). It explains what happens to your documents and to personal data when you use the add-in. Our website and our dealings with clients are covered by the interiu.com privacy policy.

Your documents stay on your computer
The add-in reviews the document open in PowerPoint, Excel or Word, or a PDF file you choose in the add-in, and shows its findings in a side panel. The review runs inside Office on your computer. The add-in does not send the document or any part of its content to Interiu or to anyone else, and Interiu has no access to it. Personal data contained in your documents (for example names of people in a report) is therefore not received or processed by Interiu.
What is stored on your computer
The add-in keeps its settings, your choices on findings, the results of your latest reviews and a copy of its own program files in the storage that Office provides to add-ins on your computer. This storage is needed for the add-in to work, Interiu cannot read it, and it is removed when you clear the Office add-in cache or remove the add-in.
Personal data we process
Connection data. When Office loads the add-in's program files from our servers, the hosting infrastructure receives technical connection data: IP address, time, the file requested, browser and Office version. It is used only to deliver the files and to keep the service secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and kept for a short period, normally no longer than 90 days.
Messages to us. If you write to us for support, we process your name, e-mail address and message to answer you, as described in the interiu.com privacy policy.
The add-in has no sign-in, no analytics or advertising trackers and no profiling. We do not sell personal data.
Service providers and transfers
Our servers are run by a hosting provider in the European Economic Area under a data processing agreement. The provider’s group may include companies outside the EEA, including in the United States; any access to personal data from there is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. A list of our providers and a copy of the safeguards are available on request from legal@interiu.com.
Like every Office add-in, the add-in loads Microsoft's add-in library (office.js) from Microsoft's servers, as Microsoft requires; Microsoft then receives the usual connection data. Microsoft's processing, and that of Office itself, is governed by your agreement with Microsoft and your organisation's settings, not by this policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD) you can ask for access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and ask for portability. Write to legal@interiu.com; we reply within one month, as the GDPR requires. You can also complain to the AEPD or to the data protection authority where you live or work.
Changes
If we change how the add-in handles data, we update this page and the date above before the change takes effect. The add-in will not send document content anywhere unless this policy has first been updated to say so and the add-in asks you each time before anything is sent.
